Kaiut Method Yoga (led by Adrienne Ruzic):
Kaiut Yoga is a therapeutic yoga method designed to improve joint mobility, nervous system regulation, and long-term functionality. Unlike traditional yoga styles that emphasize flexibility or strength, the Kaiut Method focuses on sustained, passive poses to release restrictions in the joints and connective tissues.
Key Principles of Kaiut Yoga:
Joint Health & Mobility: The method targets joints (hips, shoulders, spine, knees, etc.), helping to reduce stiffness, pain, and tension over time.
Simplicity & Accessibility: The poses are designed for all body types, ages, and abilities, whether you’re an athlete, someone with injuries, or just looking to improve movement.
Sustained Poses for Deep Release: Instead of flowing through sequences, Kaiut uses long-held postures to allow the body to naturally unwind restrictions.
Works with the Nervous System: By promoting relaxation and reducing unnecessary effort, this method helps the nervous system shift into a more balanced state, supporting stress relief and pain management.
Who is it For?
People with chronic pain, stiffness, injuries, or mobility challenges
Those looking for a sustainable, aging-friendly movement practice
Anyone who wants to improve overall functionality and movement ease
The Kaiut Method is a unique style of yoga designed to improve mobility, release tension, and support long-term health. Unlike traditional yoga that focuses on flexibility or strength, Kaiut is about joint health and nervous system regulation. The poses are simple but deeply effective, often done in a passive, sustained way to help the body naturally release restrictions.
This method is great for everyone—whether you’re dealing with stiffness, injuries, chronic pain, or just want to move better as you age. It’s not about how a pose looks but how it benefits your body over time. The goal is to create freedom in the joints, so movement becomes more natural and pain-free in daily life.”*
GYROKINESIS® class (led by Anne Howe):
Wednesdays @ 5:30pm.
Gyrokinesis class begin seated on stools. We start slowly with flexion and extension of the spine along with arm movements adding the breath - creating a cadence and rhythm. We move on to spinal rotation, then side bending and arm movements plus breath. Following with circular spinal movement or circumduction and finally combining all the spinal motions to create waves. A truly yummy and juicy flowing warm up!
Now that the spine and upper body are warmed up, the legs and abdominals are added into the mix to prime us for the floor work. We shift onto the mat adding stretching and strengthening sequences to continue connecting the lower body and pelvis to the spine and upper body.
As we continue our movement journey through our whole being we finish our class standing, breathing and winding down from our experience of the movements. This class connects all of the elements of our body systems into a journey of flowing movements - we don’t hold postures for lengths of time. You are left with a blissful and meditative state of being.
Gyrokinesis exercise is both a physical workout and a meditative, flowing experience. Focusing on connecting the breath, the movements, and body awareness throughout the class journey helps create that deep sense of flow and relaxation. It’s like a dance for the whole body, but with a strong grounding in functional movement.

“Working with Adrienne and having an opportunity to tap into her expertise was such a pleasurable and enlightening experience for me! She asked questions, excellent questions, and lots of them. She helped me uncover things that I didn’t know about myself and to figure out what works and doesn’t work for me as we experimented with different approaches and ways to implement changes that would get me closer to my goals. She kept me accountable and focused. As a result, I’ve become a more mindful and flexible version of myself, open to giving myself a permission to experiment in different areas of my life. Thank you, Adrienne!”
